Monday night’s American Idol was the first live episode of the season filled with sweet triumphs and heartbreak.
Contestants from the top 20 needed America’s vote to secure their spot in the top 14. The remaining 10 sang their hearts out for the judges in hopes of nabbing one of the four remaining spots.
Ava Maybee was the first to find out her fate and celebrated her placement in the top 14 with a soulful performance of Lizzo’s “Cuz I Love You.”
The lucky singers joining Ava Maybee were Christian Guardino, Lady K, HunterGirl, Dan Marshall, Leah Marlene, Nicolina, Noah Thompson, Emyrson Flora, and Fritz Hager in the top 14.
The judges saved Allegra Miles, Jay, Mike Parker and Pell City's Tristen Gressett.
Katyrah Love, Candance Barker, Cameron Whitcomb, Jacob Moran, Elli Rowe, and the standout Sage was sent home.
Let's get those votes in Sunday night and support Tristen!!!
