Plaid, which allows thousands of apps like Venmo, Robinhood, American Express, Capital One and Wells Fargo to connect to your bank account, just settled a class-action lawsuit for $58 million.
The suit alleged that Plaid used log-in info to collect way more data on a customer than necessary.
If you used an app that relied on Plaid to connect to your bank account from January 1st, 2013 to November 19th, 2021, you might be entitled to a bit of the $58 million payout.
