Spencer had the opportunity to spend time with a child from St. Clairs County Boys Ranch. This facility provides at risk youth a safe haven to grow spiritually and physically into productive and responsible adults.
Spencer is an avid fisherman, and was asked if he would take an at risk youth fishing for the day.
Spencer realized quickly how different life is for these children. His new pal had with him a pole and Spencer got him situated with a life jacket, and taught him how to cast a line and catch fish.
Spencer said that seeing this kid's eyes light up when he caught a fish was a rewarding experience. Spencer didn't expect to learn from this experience, or child but that is exactly what happened.
