Charlie Morton is out of the World Series and won't be back until next season. Morton was dealing in Game 1 of the World Series when he was hit by a "comebacker" off the bat of Yuli Gurriel. The ball coming back to Morton was clocked at 102 mph. Morton got the out, rubbed his leg and stayed in to pitch. Morton threw ten pitches, including a nasty breaking ball before falling off the left side of the mound when Jose Altuve was batting.

Morton left the game but kept telling Braves manager, Brian Snitker, that he was good to go. Snitker after the game said "I hate it for him." Morton will be out until Spring Training for the 2022 season. Braves won, 6-2, over the Astros. Game 2 from Houston is tonight at 8:09p.
