Nikolas Cruz is accused and charged with the death of 17 people after opening fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, in Parkland, Florida. Cruz also wounded another 17 people. Cruz will plead guilty to 17 counts of premeditated murder and 17 counts of attempted murder rather than going to a full trial, reports say. Cruz' defense team said that Cruz would admit to the killings in exchange for a sentence of life without parole, if prosecutors declined to seek the death penalty. Cruz' attorneys are expected to enter their plea today.
Cruz is also charged with attacking an officer inside the jail.
