Jason Aldean will not be silenced over the COVID-19 vaccine and the controversial mandates that have been talked about. Aldean took to his Instagram (@jasonaldean) and posted a screenshot of a story, written by Eric Ting of SFGate.com. The story is about California Governor, Gavin Newsom and his decision to make the vaccine mandatory for all students that attend public schools. In the story, Ting writes "Under the mandate, the COVID-19 vaccine will be added to the list of other compulsory vaccinations required for schooling such as vaccinations against measles, mumps and rubella. Newsom said that parents can claim religious and medical exemptions."

Aldean captioned his post "So let me get this straight! It is no longer our decisions as parents (or free Americans) to make decisions about our kids, Gavin Newsom makes those decisions for us now?? You gotta be kidding me! People in California should be outraged and people everywhere else better start standing up and speaking out NOW. This is not how America and being free works."

The new mandate will be pushed through two phases: One for children grades 7th through 12th, and another for kindergarten through sixth grade. The requirement takes effect once the Food and Drug Administration grants full approval for specific age groups, the governor's office said.
