While people complain about the amount of money, Jeff Bezos, spent to reach space, look for the good. Wally Funk is now the oldest person to reach space and is a female pioneering pilot. This was a milestone flight since it comes on the 52nd anniversary of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin's moon landing in 1969. Funk became the oldest person to go to space, breaking a 23-year record held by John Glenn.

Funk tried to fly commercial planes in the 70's but was turned away because she was a woman. Funk also applied for NASA but was turned away several times due to her lack of an engineering degree, although John Glenn didn't have that degree either.
