West Virginia Plans To Give $100 To Select People To Get The Vaccine

In the land where "Mountaineers Are Always Free" it seems, they can be bought. The state of West Virginia is offering a $100 savings bond to anyone, between 16-35, to get the COVID 19 vaccine. The measure, announced by Gov. Jim Justice on Monday, comes as a large share of the state’s eligible population have not received even one dose of the vaccine.

“We’re going to give a $100 savings bond to every single one that steps up and takes their vaccines,” Justice said. Those who fall into that age bracket, and have already received the vaccine, will be paid retroactively.
