Church staff were concerned when several utilities were shut off. Glenn Yothers, the church treasurer, was in charge of paying the bills and allegedly embezzled $150,000. Yothers claims he was paying the bills with the money, and donating it to charity, but police said he was really spending it on sex websites. Yothers spent 12 years as the treasurer of the church, and police said he pocketed the money over a four year period. When troopers questioned numerous payments Yothers made from his debit card to a website, “Flirt for Free,” Yothers said the donations were not to an organized charity but “to individual people” on the website.
