Man Fakes His Own Kidnapping To Get a Day Off From Work

Work can be hard on you and you deserve some time off. Missing work doesn't require faking your own kidnapping. Brandon Soules, of Arizona, told investigators that he was abducted by two men in masks who knocked him out, drove him around, then dumped him by the water tower. Soules repeated his story after the police found him near a water tower with his hands tied behind his back and a bandana stuffed in his mouth. Investigators did their job and found no evidence of a kidnapping. Even surveillance videos didn't back up his story, and there were some inconsistencies in it, too.

Soules was arrested just days later for filing a "false police report." Soules then admitted to making the story up because he didn't want to go to work at the local tire shop.
