Two firefighters went above and beyond for an elderly man recently. J. Acosta and C. Sloan responded to a call about an elderly man who had fallen. They helped him up, got him settled and went about their day. An hour, or so, later, they received another call, for another fall, at the same address. The elderly man told them that he has no family and fell trying to do day-to-day tasks around the house. The firefighters checked his vitals, sat him down, made him and egg sandwich, poured a glass of orange juice and then went another step further. They did his dishes and cleaned up his home.
