"The Notebook" Musical Headed To Broadway

OMGOMGOMG

I actually feel like this is going to be AMAZING. A Broadway version of The Notebook is on the way, with a score by Ingrid Michaelson! She revealed on Thursday's episode of TODAY that she's writing the songs for a musical version of the film.

I've probably seen the 2004 Ryan Gosling/Rachel McAdams romance about a million times, so I'm really hoping they go on tour. I'll be sitting front row, center!

According to People, the musical will be produced by Kevin McCollum (Avenue Q, In the Heights) and Kurt Deutsch (Broadway Bound, A Few Good Men). While there haven't been any casting announcements yet, Michaelson says she's been working on the score for about a year and a half now.

This June, the movie — directed by Nick Cassavetes — will celebrate its 15th anniversary.

I'm so excited for this!!
