A Lobster boat crew in the North Atlantic was surprised to see a waterlogged eagle struggling about a quarter-mile offshore near an island.
In hopes of rescuing the eagle, the crew made a raft out of a life preserver, a piece of plywood and rope – and drifted the raft toward the bird.
Fortunately, the eagle hopped on the raft and the crew was able to haul it into the boat.
Everyone onboard planned to deliver it to game wardens for medical care, but the eagle had other ideas.
After drying off, it surprised everyone by spreading its wings and flying away.
