What's Awesome: A guy raises big money for fast food worker her met for 30 seconds!

A guy named Donald Carter went to a Popeyes Chicken in Kansas City, Missouri last month, and only talked to the woman at the drive-thru for about 30 seconds.  But it inspired him to change her LIFE.

Her name is Shajuana Mays, and she looks like she's in her mid 20s.  He says she was really nice, but looked exhausted.  So he asked what else she does, and she said she was saving up to go to nursing school. That's basically all they said, and he left.  Then while he was eating dinner, he decided to see if he could HELP her become a nurse.  He started a GoFundMe page, and asked his 1,400 Facebook friends to donate.

He originally wanted to raise $1,500, because he thought that was enough.  Then someone told him that's just what she'd need to become a certified nursing ASSISTANT.  Which isn't the same as a nurse.  So he upped the goal to $7,000.

That should be enough to become a "licensed practical nurse," which is closer to an R.N.  And if she needs more, she's got it.  As of last night, he'd raised over 14 GRAND.

He went back to Popeyes after the GoFundMe page took off, and one of his friends posted a video of him telling her what he did.  She had no idea, so she freaked out and gave him a big hug.  If you want to help, just search for "Send a Random Girl 2 Nursing School" on GoFundMe.com.
