8 Tracks That Say 'School Is Back'

Summer is over. School bells are ringing. Kids are depressed. Parents are exhausted. The smell of pumpkin spice is quick to follow. But, the reality is that the change in seasons isn’t that bad.

Need help to master the upcoming semester? Here are the topics that we will cover today:

  • Prerequisite classes are important, but in order to be “well rounded” be sure to sign up for electives. This is your chance to learn a new language or try your hand at throwing a ball. Take a chance this year!
  • Everyone is awkward. Everything this uncomfortable. Things will be easier once you own it and embrace your tongue-tied, self-conscious self. You got this!

Take a tip from these country songs and get inspired to crush the approaching semester because these educational years will fly by.

1. “The Boys of Fall,” Kenny Chesney

Bell Ringer: Football season is right around the corner.

2. “Fifteen,” Taylor Swift

Bell Ringer: If you are starting high school, it can be scary and awkward. But, everyone feels the same way and if Swift can do it, so can you!

3. “Harper Valley P.T.A.,” Jeannie C. Riley

Bell Ringer: The school’s theatrical department isn’t the only place that drama happens.

4. “Check Yes or No,” George Strait

Bell Ringer: Strait encourages everyone to take chances and make the first move on that cute boy or girl in your class, even if it’s just passing a note.

5. “Walmart Parking Lot,” Chris Cagle

Bell Ringer: Weekend nights are filled with tailgates, taillights, and all your best friends hanging out on corporate owned blacktop.

6. “Ride With Me,” Cody Johnson

Bell Ringer: This could be the year for a new shotgun rider or maybe this is the year that you have a steady date for all of those awkward dances.

7.  “26 Cents,” The Wilkinsons

Bell Ringer: Enjoy the Present. Your parents may drive you crazy, but we bet that you will have a tear in your eye when you move away for the first time.

8. “Don’t Forget To Remember Me,” Carrie Underwood

Bell Ringer: Big decisions are coming up and the next few years are going to fly by.
