TMSG: Charity Donates Restaurant Crayons To Schools

Ever wonder what happens to barely-used crayons left behind at restaurants when kids are finished? Well, Sheila Michail Morovati took notice that millions of crayons, 150 million crayons every year to be exact, were being wasted and she did something about it.

10 years ago Morovati asked restaurants to collect the all of the used crayons and give them to her recycling program she started called Crayon Collection.

Now, Crayon Collection works in all 50 states + 9 countries to bring good condition crayons destined for trash to classrooms in under-served schools. Morovati says that now, they've helped over 13-million crayons get donated.

"It's just such a sustainable and great win-win."
