Kelsea Ballerini Can't Contain Excitement About Her New Single Release

Kelsea Ballerini has a lot to celebrate right now. Besides turning 26 next week on September 12th, she just released a new song today (September 6) called "Homecoming Queen?"

Ballerini called in to The Bobby Bones Show to talk with Bobby Bones about the new single and when we can expect the new album. On the song "Homecoming Queen?" Ballerini was one of the writers on it along with Nicolle Galyon and Jimmy Robbins. The song's "homecoming queen" is meant to be a metaphor for somebody that seemingly has it all together and polished from the outside looking in.

The song was written back in February of 2019, Ballerini confessed that's she is stoked the song is finally out and she can share it with everyone after holding it for so long.

As far as her next album is concerned, Ballerini says it will be dropping in the spring of 2020. She confirmed that she will have collaborations with artists on the album, but the only hint she gave us was that the artists have the letter "E" in their name. There's a "little nugget" on the album as Kelsea Ballerini calls it, it's the one song she wrote by herself.

Fans can expect to hear lots of variety in this new album as Ballerini said she's been writing with Ed Sheeran, Julia Michaels, and Ryan Tedder. However, none of those artists will be on her album as far as collaborations go.
