Miranda Lambert revealed her latest duet partner and the release date of the collaboration on Wednesday (May 31), one day after sharing a mysterious teaser on her social media channels. Lambert is teaming up with fellow singer-songwriter Leon Bridges to release âIf You Were Mine.â She shared a snippet of the soulful, soon-to-release song on Instagram, writing: âTwo Texans. One song. June 6.â
On Tuesday (May 30), Lambert signaled to her social media followers to âstay tunedâ for new music. The vague post included two snapshots of the âIf I Was A Cowboyâ hitmaker in the recording studio, in addition to a brief clip from a recent interview where she dropped the hint: âIâve got a few collabs up my sleeve that Iâm very excited about.â
Instagram users gushed that theyâre âalready obsessed,â and âdyingâ over the âdream collaboration.â Bridges is Lambertâs latest duet partner after the Longview, Texas-born artist recently confirmed that she âloved writing a tuneâ with Jelly Roll, and shared with Dierks Bentley that they âhave a few new songsâ as they revealed a teaser of a song set to appear in the CBS drama Fire Country.
