You won't find a flat hot dog at an old school hot dog stand like pictured above. But, you can actually find a flat hot dog now and getting it is as easy at watching QVC!
Rastelli's Round Dog is simply a flat hot dog shaped like a hamburger patty. It was created by Tony Luke Jr., creator and owner of Tony Luke's cheesesteaks after he had to use a hamburger bun after running out of hot dog buns.
This thing looks oddly close to a slice of bologna, but Luke says there's a difference; the round dog has ridges perfect for the grill.
Rastelli's Round Dogs aren't as cheap as bologna, either. A 24-pack of "patties" will cost around $84...on QVC.
