Tim McGraw's upcoming book, Songs of America: Patriotism, Protest and the Music That Made a Nation, is something special. As a joint collaboration with Pulitzer Prize-winning presidential historian Jon Meacham, the book will see the country titan analyze music that was created during some of the most politically relevant times like the American Revolution, Great Depression and the civil rights movement and the upcoming release is being paired with a nationwide tour to promote the venture.
"Join me and my buddy Jon Meacham for a behind-the-scenes conversation about our new book - and a few songs too!" McGraw captioned a promo shot for the venture via Instagram. "Excited to share this project with you. Limited tickets available. Join McGrawOne by texting songsofamerica to 615-205-5687 for first presale access information."
For the trek, which kicks off one day before the book's release, McGraw and Meacham plan to give attendees a look inside of their friendship and the process they went through to create the project. McGraw will also perform songs from the releas. Songs of America: Patriotism, Protest and the Music That Made a Nation drops on June 11.
