Dolly Parton Honored At 2019 Grammys By Miley Cyrus, Little Big Town & More

Dolly Parton received plenty of love during the MusiCares Person of the Year celebration, but the adoration kept on coming during the 2019 Grammy Awards on Sunday night (February 10) when she performed during her special tribute alongside Katy Perry, Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, Little Big Town and even her goddaughter Miley Cyrus.

During the all-star number, which was introduced by Anna Kendrick, the country titan appeared in between Perry and Musgraves for their cover of "Here You Come Again," before joining her goddaughter Cyrus for an appropriate cover of "Jolene." Once Maren Morris arrived on stage, the trio went into a near a capella version of Neil Young's "After The Gold Rush." Fun fact: Parton covered the song with Emmylou Harris and Linda Ronstadt on their 1999 album, Trio II. Soon after, Little Big Town showed their respect by performing "Red Shoes" (from the soundtrack of Netflix’s movie, Dumplin) alongside Parton. But what would a Dolly Parton tribute be without "9 to 5"? Cue the collaborative all-star closing number with all acts besides the icon for the classic.

If that wasn't enough appreciate for the almost all-female cast of performers, Parton was recently featured in a segment on CBS Sunday Morning, where she spoke about feminism. "I guess I am," she said when asked if she considers herself a feminist. "I don't think of it like they do. I'm a feminine girl, I'm a working girl. I think we all should be treated with respect and if we do a good job, we should get paid for it."
