Alabama Man Jumps Off Bridge To Save Dog

Al Trovinger jumped off a bridge to save his dog, River, after she jumped into water alongside a busy road in Mobile.

They got out of their car—with River on a leash—to walk around after waiting 30 minutes in stand-still traffic due to a car accident when they unintentionally created a scene of their own: River jumped over the bridge as her collar split in half.

According to WALA, Trovinger watched River helplessly for about 10 minutes before jumping in to rescue him.

Though not an easy task, he successfully and safely swam the pup to shore where they were greeted by paramedics and a state trooper.
