Our goal is to fill 500 backpacks with supplies for students attending inner city Birmingham schools. Your generosity will help deserving students get the tools necessary to learn. Artwalk is an arts festival that transforms Birmingham’s loft neighborhood into an arts district, featuring the work of more than 100 visual artists, live musicians, street performers, food and drink vendors, and children’s activities.
The event is free to the public and in the last three years has become a much anticipated fall event drawing visitors from all over to downtown Birmingham. For the past two years, more than 10,000 people walked the streets of downtown during the two-day event.
2nd Annual Magic City Mac N' Cheese Festival
Come out to taste several different kinds of mac n’ cheese!
The Junior Board of Community Grief Support is proud to host their 2nd Annual Magic City Mac N’ Cheese Festival, on September 9th, 2018 at Brookwood Village from 1-4PM. Guests will have the pleasure of sampling mac n’ cheese from a variety of restaurants, caterers, and food trucks in Birmingham and surrounding areas. The Mac N’ Cheese Festival is part competition, part celebration of the south’s favorite comfort food, and most importantly, a fundraiser for Community Grief Support.
Celebrity judges will taste all the mac n’ cheese, and each vendor will receive an award with a fun category. Tickets are $15 for early birds, $20 the day of the event, and $5 for children ages 5-12; kids under the age of 5 get in free! In addition to a multitude of mac n’ cheese, guests can purchase drinks and let their children enjoy bounce houses and other fun activities. This is one festival you do not want to miss!

The 46th Annual Greek Festival is set for October 4-6, 2018 from 10:30am-10:00pm in downtown Birmingham. The Birmingham Greek Festival began in 1972 and is one Birmingham’s oldest cultural food festivals and most highly anticipated events. The festival is an act of love of Birmingham’s Greek community going back to 4 generations. Besides delicious Greek cuisine, you’ll enjoy live Greek music, Greek dancing performances, and a warm, spirited atmosphere that embraces everyone as family. As thousands of returning patrons can attest, you will leave a devoted fan.
The Holy Trinity – Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral Church began in 1906 and is one of the oldest Greek Orthodox parishes in the United States. The Cathedral architecture is breathtaking so don’t miss the chance to take a guided free tour all three days on an ongoing basis. A portion of the festival proceeds will benefit different charities and ministries across the Birmingham area.
Free parking is available in the old Liberty National building on 3rd Avenue and 20th Street South. Drive-Thru and Take-Out are available all three days. The event is free admission, offers indoor and outdoor dining, and food plates are individually priced.
